Scottish Stalking Victim Makes Legal History
Added November 3rd, 2009 in NSS News
Founder of Action Scotland Against Stalking Ann Moulds is suing a man for the trauma she suffered during his 2 year campaign of harassment against her.
In the criminal case against him Alex Reid admitted placing Ann ‘in a state of fear and alarm’ between September 1, 2004 and June 30, 2006. But despite experts describing the case as ‘one of the worst of its kind’ last year Reid escaped jail and was sentenced to 250 hours community service.
Ann is the first Scot to use the civil law to take action in this way. Keep up to date with the case at www.nss.org.uk/scotland
